Adjusted Gross Income (AGI)
Your adjusted gross income (AGI) is your or your family's wages, salaries, interest, dividends, etc., minus certain deductions from income as reported on a federal income tax return.
- If you filed Form 1040-EZ last year, your AGI is on line 4.
- If you filed Form 1040A last year, your AGI is on line 21.
- If you filed Form 1040 last year, your AGI is on line 37.
If you filed jointly with a spouse, you both would share the same AGI. If you are married but filed separately, you would each have your own AGI.
If you do not have a copy of your tax return from last year, obtain an Electric Filing PIN from the IRS online at https://www.irs.gov/individuals/electronic-filing-pin-request or via telephone at 866-704-7388. If you filed jointly with a spouse, you would have to get separate PINs for each of you.
