Low-Income School

In order to qualify for teacher loan forgiveness, you must spend five consecutive years teaching at a qualifying low-income school. These schools are defined as those that qualify for funds under Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. At least 30% of the school's enrolled population are children who qualify for services under Title I, and the school is listed in the Annual Directory of Designated Low-Income Schools for Teacher Cancellation (https://tcli.ed.gov/).
